Because of the possible and likely uneven distribution of the chemical salts during the batch impregnation method, we worked hard to find a way to improve the distribution of the chemical salts equally throughout the entire wick. We have designed, constructed and are using several single strand impregnation pro-cess lines. In this process, which is being used exclusively by us, we feed a single braided wick strand through our chemical salt solution bath and apply a continuous pressurized injection of the solution into the wick. Our 15-minute drying process (versus 12 to 20 hours for batch drying) allows the remaining moisture in the wick to evaporate much quicker and forces the salts to crystallize almost immediately without any opportunity to migrate.

Because there is absolutely no discharge of any chemical waste, this method is much more environmentally friendly than the batch impregnation process.

This technology was exclusivly developed by our company.
