Attention: (C) by Heinz Jansen Technische Geflechte.

(1) Candle
(2) Wick
(3) Blue Zone:
Mostly outside the Glow Zone, Hottest zone through contact with oxygen, Blue C2 and CH emission, Partial build-up of uncombusted carbon particles.
(4) Dark Zone: 600 to 1000 degrees C.(1112 to 1832 degrees F.) Low on oxygen, Formation and build-up of un-combusted carbon particles ("mushrooms").
(5) Main Reaction Zone: Very hot oxidation zone.
(6) Glow Zone: Starts inside the main reaction zone and closes at the tip of the flame, Yellow emission of hot carbon particles, which partially combust through contact with oxygen.
