Quality Assurance

We certify that our candle wicks consist of 100% cotton yarn and do not contain any metal threads (lead, copper or other) or other materials for stabilization of a wick, except for paper threads used for specific wick types. Our wicks meet the following specifications:

1. Uniform, tear-resistant cotton yarn made of medium- or long-stapled cotton, seasoned, with no moisture damages.
2. The wicks are free of impurities which might impair the suction effect, no ash residues, flame burns without visible smoke.
3. Upright wick stand, slight bending and a glow point appearing at the tip of the wick.
4. Slight after-glowing.
5. Toxicology: no potential health hazard when used as a candle wick.

We furthermore certify that we have implemented a quality assurance system which includes both receiving inspection of all incoming raw materials as well as on-line inspection of all wicks produced.

Minimum Order Requirements

The minimum quantity for each type of wick ordered is 10 Kilos (22 lbs.). A €25 fee is incurred on orders amounting to less than this quantity.

Shipping Information

We ship using a variety of carriers depending on quantity and location, or as requested by the customer. Shipping charges incurred are to be paid for by the customer. For orders totalling over 300 Kilos, F.O.B. is paid to the first air or sea port in Germany or the Netherlands.
